10 am

Yep today's word was ten am.

So typically at ten in da morning I'm on the clock... And if it's a weekend I'm probably just stumbling to the kitchen and making breakfast...or going to Maxine's with the boyfriend :-)

Monday Monday

I am a huge believer that weekends are simply not long enough.  Today was a fair day, not too bad, not overly good.  I went to the gym today...back in the swing of things.  Hopefully I can keep up leaving in time to get to Zumba, it's tons of fun!  

Today's word is button.  

I have buttons for causes close to my heart...

I have buttons for my entertainment...

And I have buttons!  One of the things I remember growing up was my mother had a tin of buttons.  There were all sorts of buttons and I loved sorting through and playing with them.  You never know what kind of fun shapes you can find in the button tin.  My grandmother had a tin of buttons too.  Seems to have passed down to me.  I have a tin full of buttons...and a whole lot of teeny tiny plastic bags!

I'm not a huge football fan, but when it's the home team you can't help but get excited for the game.  I sent this cute little number down to Jerz for the lil nephew to wear since the Jets aren't playing anymore this season.  He's happy to be sporting his NE pride today!

What A Day

It's Saturday.  The first Saturday of the month.  

That means this morning the boyfriend got up at 5 am and got ready to be an Army man all day.  I got up and made him coffee, got him a granola bar for breakfast and saw him off.  Then promptly went back to bed.  

This Christmas the boyfriend and I said we were going to take my parents out to dinner.  They have been wanting to go on a double date for some time now and we thought this would be an excellent way to make that happen.  When texting my parents this morning about where they want to go for dinner (cause mom just got a texting plan and it's new and novel) I got a call from mom.  She was hit at a stoplight in her brand-new, about 100 miles, week old car.  Boo.  Jerkface.  Momma is ok, just upset that her new car is all smushy.

We ended up going for Mexican food.  Yum.  One of my favorites.

Ok so these are my parents.  Not technically strangers...although since I've been able to talk back (I'm a sassy child.  I admit it.) I've been telling dad that his direction for me to not talk to strangers backfired...I've never met anyone stranger than him.  BAHAHAHA.  Oh I'm punny. 

The boyfriend is currently poking me (literally).  He wants me to pay attention to him instead of the bloggy.  So goodnight all!

FRIDAY!!!

Friday is one of my favorite days of the week.  Not only does it bring the weekend, but it means I get to spend the next few days doing things that I want to do (most of the time).  Usually that involves spending quality time with the boyfriend...since we live an hour away from each other and only really get to see each other on the weekends (we are awfully busy and important people after all). 

Today's photo challenge is hands.  And since the boyfriend just landed on the couch, I took a picture of our hands.  Yes he looked at me funny.  Yes he puts up with my quirks.  Yes he has plenty of his own.  

And if you could see his hands now they would be full of the remote control.
